POSITION SUMMARY:

Cristek manufactures electrical connectors, cable assemblies, harnesses, and related electro-mechanical products, and holds multiple quality certifications including AS9100 & ISO 9001. Cristek, established in 1985, is headquartered in Anaheim, CA with divisions in North Billerica, MA and Minden, NV. The Process Engineering Technician will collaborate with associates across multiple departments in the development & sustaining of production processes, and to drive continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma. Desired additional technical education or training.
  • More than 5 years’ experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes, and assembly of precision electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Experience in the assembly of electrical connectors, and in the assembly of custom cables & harnesses.
  • Current or previous certification to IPC-620 and J-STD-001 standards.
  • Strong verbal, organizational, analytical, decision making, & problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Works mostly independently, under minimal supervision.
  • English / Spanish bilingual, written and verbal capabilities.
  • Desired proficiency with MS Office applications.
  • Desired experience in the various AS9145 APQP phases of product development.
  • Desired ability to use data to monitor effectiveness of standard work and effect change.
  • Desired ability to transform methods, and work instructions into new systems, and formats for ease of operator comprehension.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineers and other technicians in the development and validation of new tools and work instructions, and improvement of current tools & processes.
  • Perform first time builds for new connectors, cables, and harnesses.
  • Provide training and technical support to production personnel.
  • Provide technical support in the use of new and existing tools.
  • Perform rework and new builds for production test harnesses.
  • Prepare or assist with Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA, SCAR, RCCA).
  • Participate in the review and response to RMA’s.
  • Work with Sales and Engineering in the review of customer requirements for RFQ support.
  • Recommend and influence improvements to process, equipment, methods, safety, and production efficiency, for compliance with customer requirements, Cristek best practices, and industry standards.
