What’s the role?
The Process Excellence Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing, reviewing, and analyzing the performance of various procedures. This position involves making recommendations for improvements to drive business excellence through innovative process enhancements and effective collaboration across our team.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • E2E Process Design Workshops: Organize, moderate, and conduct end-to-end process design workshops to develop future collaboration between businesses (SBUs), the Shared Services organization, and global functions.
  • Process Development: Jointly develop and document inputs/outputs, process steps, roles and responsibilities, improvement opportunities, and joint process KPIs.
  • Implementation Planning: Determine implementation items and content following process design workshops. Develop and align the implementation plan with the eNAble project lead and PMO.
  • Performance Management: Develop tracking logic and tools for joint KPIs and work closely with the eNAble project lead and PMO to deliver on agreed milestones.
  • Support and Implementation: Support project lead and workstream leads with the implementation of improvement topics and take implementation responsibility for selected workstreams.
  • Process Assessment and Recommendations: Provide an objective assessment of how well a business process operates and give actionable recommendations to refine all aspects of the business process.
  • Continuous Improvement: Strive to make business processes easier, faster, better quality, and more affordable. Conceptualize, document, and implement continuous improvement thinking and methodologies, enabling teams from both SBUs and Shared Services to use these practices.
  • Documentation: Ensure complete, consistent, and audit-proof documentation of processes, standards, policies, SOPs, etc., in the management system. Drive periodic reviews, updates, and version management.
  • Improvement Implementation: Act as a continuous improvement “challenger” following the implementation of process improvements. Ensure a consistent project approach, methods, and standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage, collaborate with, and influence all functions to ensure the Process Excellence strategy is understood and supported by the appropriate stakeholders. Build strong relationships with key functional leaders to align improvement initiatives with business strategy.

Do you qualify?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or other related field
  • 5+ years experience including process design, new product / process introduction, standard work definition
  • Strong facilitation, negotiation and problem-solving skills applied across matrixed internal and external teams
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and be able to work across all levels of the organization.

Working Conditions and Special Demands:
Hybrid work schedule – 3 days in the office/2 days remote.
Compensation:
The annual pay range for this position is $94,000 – $117,000
The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.
This position is also eligible for a performance bonus or sales commissions. ZEISS also offers robust benefits, including medical plans, retirement savings plan and paid time off.
