Description:

OPERATIONS

Achieve production and quality targets
Manage performance of production shifts
Form part of maintenance planning and execution.
Supervision and sign off maintenance tasks
Maintain high Ensure plant operates within cost budget
standards of operational excellence
Identify process optimization needs
Control all process consumable consumptions within company standards
People and Systems Management
Drive teams’ compliance to company strategy
Effectively delegate tasks
Manage time and attendance, and other systems
Identify and develop talent within areas of responsibility
Scheduling and planning of work force plan

QUALIFICATIONS

Metallurgical, Chemical Engineering or other related Diploma/ Degree

EXPERIENCE

5 years’ experience in coal processing plants
A minimum 3 years proven supervisory experience
Competency SKILLS, QUALITIES AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Able to align self with company strategy and values.
Self-driven, Analytical Thinker, Self Managing, Shows Integrity, Assertive, Results driven.
Possesses good communication skills, team player (collaboration), skilled in Safety, People, and Cost Management. Can instill and maintain discipline. Able to analyse and optimise metallurgical performance of a plant.
Able to manage external stakeholder relations.
Fluent in MS Office suit

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE

This position exists to assist the Process Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the plant against set objectives

RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety
Carry and fulfil responsibilities of a MHSA Section 2.9.2 legal appointment
Lead team to complying with company SHE strategy and zero harm framework
Ensure team’s understanding of company safety policies, standards and procedures
Identify areas of improvement in line with company strategy
Identify SHE training requirements of reports
Be part of Incident/ Accident investigation teams
Uphold all applicable minimum legal requirements
