POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Team leadership. Lead and coach a team of process mappers to consistently develop process flows. Foster a collaborative and supportive team. Ensures team managers are trained to perform their roles effectively.
- Process mapping. Develop a consistent and efficient way of mapping processes, storing processes, and updating processes across A&G. Identify interdependencies between functions and divisions.
- Process optimisation. Identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks that may exist between functions and propose remedial paths forward. Works towards process improvements that align with overall business objectives.
- Obligations and Controls. Work with Risk and Compliance colleagues to identify obligations associated with process steps and document corresponding controls.
- Stakeholder Management. Interacts frequently with Executives, Managers, SMEs, across the business, to obtain input, provide status updates and drive conversations regarding process improvements.
- Project Management. Develops a timeline of processing mapping milestones that includes prioritisation and resourcing and manages against a project plan.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of 7-10 years experience in process mapping, process improvement or business analysis field.
- Advanced knowledge of BIC (process mapping tool). Although strong experience with Visio or Lucid Charts would be considered.
- Team Leader experience. Demonstrable commitment to identification of talent, building capabilities and motivating team members to achieve shared outcomes.
- A hands on, team focused attitude, ability to learn new systems quickly, experience of working to deadlines in a change driven environment and the ability to work autonomously while maintaining focus.
- Knowledge of operational risk management, linkages between obligations and mapping controls. Experience of working within a 3 LoD model and understanding the interdependencies from a business process perspective.
- (Preferred) A Bachelor’s degree in a business / commerce / technology related field.
- (Preferred) An understanding of the General Insurance industry.

Responsibilities:
The Process Mapping Manager will lead a team who are responsible for the mapping of critical processes and procedures across Auto & General (A&G). This role will identify and document business processes, work with stakeholders across the business to input, review and sign off on processes. The ideal candidate will have proven people management skills, have a deep understanding of process mapping techniques and technologies and a solid knowledge of insurance. This role is based in our Toowong Head Office and may require occasional travel to our North Lakes and Kawana office, as required.
