JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for the above role to provide support, guidance and advice to the Erith & Purfleet locations to ensure best practice process safety standards are established & maintained.

Your Responsibilities

  • To support the implementation of systems and procedures for managing process safety in order to ensure compliance with Corporate and published best practice.
  • To be the Process Safety centre of expertise for ADM UK Oilseeds Operations while maintaining a close relationship and ensuring alignment with, the Total Process Safety (TPS) Technology Centre.
  • Implement, and maintain management systems to ensure compliance with Corporate and published best practice process safety standards.
  • To facilitate or participate in process safety assessments and design reviews e.g. HAZOP and SIL assessment, on new and existing plant in order to ensure compliance with current published best practice.
  • To lead, facilitate or participate in process safety risk assessments, audits, and Root Cause investigations; to prioritise remedial actions; and monitor implementation in order to minimise risks to Company assets and employees in a cost-effective manner.
  • To ensure robust implementation of the Management of Change (MOC) procedure and work as (or with) site MOC champion.
  • To participate in Project Teams in order to ensure that appropriate safety and environmental considerations are incorporated throughout the life of the project.
  • To help develop and deliver suitable training in order to increase awareness & drive continuous improvements in process safety at UK Oilseeds sites. Ensure effective sharing of lessons learned & process safety performance.
  • To provide support & guidance to the RCM & Maintenance teams to identify and maintain the integrity of critical safety systems & devices.
  • To maintain relevant company databases such as Sphera, Maximo and power BI and collate monthly metrics and TPS information for the reporting procedures and TPS scorecard.
  • To be an active member of site Safety Committees, participating in safety meetings as and when required providing updates in regard to TPS compliance and developments.

Your Profile

  • Educated to degree level in an engineering or safety discipline.
  • Relevant technical education and process safety experience.
  • Good experience working in a process/production/manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge/experience of Leader PHA software experience would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge/experience of Apollo RCA software would be an advantage.
  • Good IT skills Experience with Safety Management Systems & with Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance.
  • Good communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to lead meetings and communicate with colleagues at all levels.
  • The desire and ability to progress within an engineering/safety role in a global organisation.
  • The role will be required to work from both Erith and Purfleet and will involve frequent travel between sites
