Description:
Position: International Operations Supervisor
Contract type: Permanent - 45 hours
Location: Ryton on Dunsmore, Coventry
Hours: Nights (Monday-Friday / 22.00-08.00)
Salary: Competitive salary and benefits package
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
45 hours per week across five shifts. This key Manager role within the Ryton National Hub processing international freight. Reporting directly to the Campus Management Team. The successful candidate must have the ability to work and manage their own time and have the flexibility to cover all areas within the hub operation.
This role will ensure the safe and efficient throughput of traffic within the various sortation areas of the international Hub operation in accordance with the individual work area requirements. The successful candidate will promote a team working culture with high priority given to workplace safety and operational efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To ensure the effective deployment of all operational resource in accordance with the work area requirements
- Maintain records and accountability of staff including any agency deployed
- To ensure all staff receives adequate training and that training remains concurrent in accordance with the work area requirements.
- To ensure all pre and post shift equipment checks are completed and reported in accordance with the work area requirements.
- To ensure all equipment defects are reported in accordance with the work area requirements.
- To ensure all KPI targets are achieved or exceeded in accordance with the international work area requirements.
- Take initiative and make decisions that are right for colleagues, customers and the operation.
- Create a work area that is safe and is driven by health and safety culture that consists of safe awareness conversations, near miss reporting and safe working.
- To ensure we deliver a quality service to our customers and colleagues and a personal commitment to ensure quality through our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure we deliver consistency throughout our network.
- Compile and complete daily operational shift reports in accordance to work area requirements
