JOB DESCRIPTION

The post holder will be responsible for the monitoring/controlling the PCS to optimise HTI plant conditions and maximise throughputs of waste material, whilst paying due attention to Health, Safety and the Environment.

• To perform all duties in accordance with Legislative requirements and the Company’s objectives, maintaining and improving performance in the areas of Safety, Quality and Environment.
• To report all accidents, Incidents and near misses.
• To actively participate in the plant continuous improvement suggestion scheme.
• Responsible for monitoring the PCS, responding with suitable operator actions and reporting abnormal events/occurrences to the Duty Shift Manager.
• To control and monitor waste in feeds to the Incinerator in order to maximise throughputs whilst paying due attention to the conditions stipulated in the permit and limitations of plant processes.
• To proactively liaise with plant personnel to optimise/control plant operation and performance.
• To produce an electronic handover note for the oncoming Process Supervisor.
• To deputise for the duty Shift Manager when required.
• To write and issue permits to work when required.
• To produce methods statements and risk assessments for routine and non routine operations.
