What You Will Achieve
You will be operating automatic and manual chemical process equipment of varying complexity in various production processes in accordance with operating procedures. You will perform quality control analyses as required to complete in-process batches and identify variations. You will be trained in hazardous material handling and emergency procedures as these processes may generate high pressure and/or critical reactions.
As part of technical operations, you will be a team member who is relied to have a good understanding of procedures, techniques, tools, materials and equipment. Your decision making will help you prioritize workflows based on the available resources. You will follow standard procedures to complete tasks, some of which may vary in scope, sequence, complexity and timing. You will contribute to the team’s success by sharing your previously acquired knowledge.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Perform set-up and cleaning as per the approved cleaning instructions and site procedures.
  • Perform pre-campaign set up, post campaign activities and change over cleaning.
  • Guide fitters, contract staff and engineering personnel for mechanical work related to changeover cleaning, preventive maintenance and calibration.
  • Perform panel operation, monitor alarm suppression and interlock bypasses using DCS Delta V control system.
  • Ensure proper communication and handling over of shift duties.
  • Responsible to update shift handover log, Equipment Cleaning Standard Work
  • Complete all cleaning documentation according to GMP and GDP standards.
  • Coordinate and liaise with colleagues of other process /operations departments to ensure there is no interruption to cleaning management process.
  • Troubleshoot all safety incidents, deviations and issues and coordinate with other functions when required.
  • Responsible for preparation and completion of equipment cleaning for maintenance work accordingly to planned timelines and prevent any unclean equipment backlog.
  • Take immediate action to resolve any near miss situations and raise good saves for safety and quality.
  • Report all actual, near misses and potential accidents for further investigation.
  • Assist in investigation of all actual, near misses and potential accidents. Provide information to troubleshoot and take initiative to resolve operational issues independently.
  • Perform system transaction and operation using electronic GMP systems such as HEMA, LIMS, AMPS, SAP, EAMS, etc.
  • Complete all required training by attending scheduled training, SOJT, OJT, JSA and read and understand.
  • Identify and communicate all operating deviations and problems.
  • Participate as a member of the Emergency Response Team (as necessary)
  • 1Assist in project commissioning, project activities and validation activities as necessary.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Diploma in a technical discipline or GCE ’O/A’ levels

Nice-to-Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience in a chemical or formulation manufacturing environment
