We are looking for a driven Process Utilities Engineer to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our passionate Utility team based in Heide, Germany. By joining us, you will be a key player in ramping up our Utility department and contribute to building one of the first large scale European battery factories.

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical engineering or chartered mechanical or chemical engineer
  • Fluency in English
  • Computer literacy (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Valuable (but not required) if fluency in other languages, including German
  • Minimum 7 years of experience working within a process manufacturing industry (oil and gas, petrochemical, pharmaceutical , power plant, food industry, paper and pulp industries).
  • Experience with design and or operation of process utilities systems.
  • Project management skills and excellent in documentation
  • Able to prepare and deliver clear, concise, and simplified presentation so that any kind of stakeholder can understand them.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing the specifications and scope of work necessary to provide a fully integrated production and distribution system for the given utility service and reviewing and evaluating technical submissions prior to award.
  • Monitoring and supporting the relevant discipline design and procurement activities.
  • Managing the technical interface with equipment suppliers and integration of vendor information into the overall utility system design.
  • Arrange multi-discipline design reviews, risk assessments, and appropriate attendance at commissioning / validation and acceptance tests.
  • Facilitate multi-discipline review and approval of documentation, assimilating comments where applicable.
  • Expedite vendor equipment packages as required.
  • Assist with the development of project plans and status reports as well as provide support to the commissioning team
  • Liaise with on-site installation and quality representatives to ensure that the installation is in accordance with agreed schedule and inspection and testing plans.
