SUMMARY:
Safely manufactures high quality pharmaceutical products according to established schedules.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma/General Educational Development (GED) Certificate is required.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 1 year experience in pharmaceutical, food or cosmetic related manufacturing.
Equivalency:
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to maintain records of activities as instructed. Ability to follow instruction with attention to detail. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Works well with limited supervision in a team environment. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and safety standards. Mechanical interest/aptitude. Proficiency using Microsoft Office software applications. Proficiency with the English language.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about manufacturing/office locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of up to 40 pounds; arm, hand and finger dexterity; visual acuity to operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time; ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time. Usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from such things as dust, loud noise, bright lights, fumes or odour. Use of Personal Protective equipment is required and may include any of the following: safety glasses, safety shoes, lab coat, gloves, hair net, beard cover, safety apron, respirator.

Responsibilities:
- Process/manufacture products in accordance with written processing orders.
- Prepare manufacturing areas and equipment for the production of pharmaceutical products.
- Clean processing equipment and rooms in accordance with written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Ensure product quality meets the standards of Patheon, our clients, and applicable regulatory agencies including, but not limited to the Health Products and Food Branch Inspectorate (HPFBI), United States Food & Drug Administration (FDA), and European Medicines Agency (EMEA).
- Follow the required Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements.
- Maintain a safe working environment and report potential hazards.
- Perform alternating or rotating shift work
