Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Procurement Agent (Experienced or Senior) to join our Site Support & Services procurement team located at our Ridley Park, PA or St. Louis (Hazelwood), MO locations to work with supply base services providers. Strong knowledge in US Government Prime Contracts of complex and high value procurements, subcontract management and background in services, support services and multi-faceted agreements will be a key for success in this new position.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 3+ years of Procurement experience
  • 3+ years of experience interacting with customers or suppliers regarding contract requirements and/or proposals
  • 3+ years of Team Leadership (Formal/Informal) experience.
  • 3+ years of experience working both independently and in team environments
  • 3+ years of experience with the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 10+ years’ of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work or military experience
  • Experience in US-Government, FAR-compliant proposals
  • Experience drafting, negotiating and executing contracts and subcontracts.
  • Experience with contracts/subcontracts including overarching/strategic agreements
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Experience in a self-directed role
  • Communication skills and customer focus are critical to be successful in the role

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE/:

Experienced:
Typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
Senior:
Typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Integrates program, customer, product and in-service strategies into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies.
  • Provides oversight and management of supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance.
  • Engages stakeholders to ensure that program, customer, product and in-service strategies are integrated into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies.
  • Negotiates pricing and contract terms and conditions.
  • Prepares and executes negotiation strategies resulting in contractual documents and binding agreements.
  • Interprets and enforces contract terms and conditions.
  • Consults with external customers to resolve supplier performance issues.
  • Serves as subject matter expert to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives.
  • Conducts risk, issues and opportunities management.
  • Manages supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance. Initiates and executes supplier improvement activities and integrates results into contracting strategies.
  • Integrates program, customer, product and in-service strategies into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies.
  • Participates on supply chain process improvement teams and identifies improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies.
  • Optimizes execution of the supply chain balancing inventory, supply orders and schedule demand.
  • Analyzes supplier and business processes and procedures to identify improvement opportunities and incorporate into contracting strategies.
  • Trains/mentors early career peers.
  • Traveling: maximum up to 5% of work time
