The BDS Supplier Readiness and Advanced Quality Team is a dedicated group within Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) that ensures suppliers are ready for production. They collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers to assess capabilities, processes, and quality management systems. The team identifies and addresses potential risks or issues that may impact timely delivery and quality standards. They provide guidance, support, and resources to help suppliers improve processes and align with production requirements. Through their expertise in supplier management, quality assurance, and production readiness, the team maintains a reliable supply chain for BDS. They work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination throughout the procurement process. Overall, the team drives excellence in supplier readiness and advanced quality, enabling BDS to deliver high-quality products and services.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, track, evaluate, and communicate BDS Production Readiness Assessments (PRAs) for procurement activities.
  • Collaborate with the Supply-Chain Cross-functional Teams to ensure timely completion of PRAs and identify any potential risks or issues.
  • Analyze procurement data and provide insights to support decision-making and process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain procurement metrics and reports to monitor performance and identify areas for optimization.
  • Support supplier management activities, including supplier performance evaluations, relationship management, and supply chain risk reduction efforts.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop procurement strategies and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage procurement projects, including coordinating cross-functional teams, setting project timelines, and monitoring progress.
  • Create presentations for executive leadership to communicate procurement analysis findings, strategies, and recommendations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to procurement, supply chain risk reduction, and project management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and executive leadership:
  • 1+ Year presenting to Leadership
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in procurement analysis or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Experience working with the BDS Supplier Readiness and Advanced Quality Tools or Teams is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
  • Knowledge of production readiness assessments, procurement processes, supply chain risk reduction strategies, and project management methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This is the pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position $25.89/hour - $30.55/hour
