The College of New Caledonia Procurement Services Department provides leadership and expertise Supply Chain Management to ensure best value acquisitions. The Procurement Analyst will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to co-ordinate, manage purchases, control cost, and reduce risks. The variety of projects is wide and diverse in supporting the College of New Caledonia.

Specific Duties

  • Lead the procurement process by working closely with internal and external stakeholders to establish best value according to CNC procurement standards.
  • Lead cross functional teams and stakeholders through the procurement process.
  • Prepare competitive bid documents and contracts using CNC’s approved templates.
  • Analytical ability to understand user requirements, develop procurement strategies and prepare and documents competitive bid process.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maintain supplier relationships to ensure key contract deliverables are attained.
  • Participate in the development of metrics and review data to achieve continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate and manage of Vendor Prequalification Program.
  • Participate in vendor management meetings.
  • Complete the Procure to Pay in the ERP ensuring business processes are within the established guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment with other staff to ensure purchasing daily, monthly, yearly departmental activities are performed and maintained according to policy and processes.
  • You will be part of a team actively engaged in contributing to and accomplishing the vision, mission, and goals of the College and in supporting the aspirations and needs of our learners and communities.
  • You will promote a positive work atmosphere and communicate in a professional manner that demonstrates mutual respect with students and colleagues.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Recognized two (2 ) year diploma in Business/Supply Chain Management or related field with courses in purchasing and management.
  • SCMP or P. Log would be an asset.
  • 5 years or more Progressive Supply Chain experience in the public sector or business environment; OR equivalent combination of training and experience preferably in a public sector environment.
  • A sound knowledge of integrated systems appropriate to operations and procurement; experience working directly with an Enterprise Resource Program system.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Email, Teams, Power Point, etc).
  • Professional demeanour and proven ability to lead a team.
  • Demonstrated history of critical thinking and analysis with minimum supervision while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to successfully multitask and manage competing priorities.
  • Superior organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work in high-pressure, high-volume situations.
  • Proven sound judgement and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills, polite, friendly, and outgoing.
  • Ability to work independently.
