JOB DESCRIPTION:
Reporting into the Head of Procurement, You’ll play an innovative and supporting role in the procurement activities for our large-scale retirement village developments throughout New Zealand.
You’ll be supporting the optimisation of the standards, efficiency and effectiveness of Summerset’s procurement activities by researching, gathering and analysing procurement data from a variety of internal and external sources to identify trends, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. You will also support the procurement, delivery scheduling and cost analysis of our Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E) requirements.
You’ll need to bring the following
- Must have excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint and ideally other database platforms
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Excellent analytical, research and numerical skills, and ideally some experience in managing budgets
- General understanding of purchasing processes and procurement best practice
- Ideally you’ll have knowledge or an interest in interior design, including product and materiality specifications
This is a 12-month fixed-term position covering maternity leave.
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Medium to advanced level in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in developing and maintaining strong, effective internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Strong customer services and advisory skills
