• Demonstrated knowledge of procurement best practice, with experience in similar procurement roles in complex organisations.
• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
• Analytical and numerical capability – manage data, provide analysis and insights
• Critical thinking – ability to use data and research to make effective procurement recommendations.
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Be highly motivated, innovative, curious and open to new ways of doing things.

• 6 – 8 years’ experience in similar procurement roles within complex organisations
• Tertiary qualification in business, economics. Data analytics

Work with the Procurement Lead in this newly created role to assist to deliver our Sustainable Procurement strategy.

• Analyse and evaluate procurement data and develop reporting to identify trends, insights and opportunities for cost savings.
• Evaluate our key strategic suppliers and how we engage with them, building strong partnerships.
• Assist to drive collaboration between cross-functional stakeholders for the development and execution of Council-wide sourcing strategies to identify cost savings and value for money opportunities.
• Provide procurement support and advice to internal stakeholders.
• Compliance audits and reporting, ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
• Build system knowledge to be the subject matter expert for our procurement systems.
