PROCUREMENT ASSISTANT
Location: Mexico City, Mexico
Availability to travel: Within Mexico, the United States, and other countries.
Work schedule: Monday to Friday
Preferably with a valid passport and visa.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a Procurement Assistant to join our team in Mexico City. The ideal candidate will support the procurement process, from supplier research to coordinating deliveries, ensuring all procedures are carried out efficiently and in compliance with regulations. This role involves collaboration with Mexican government agencies (GOM) and U.S. Embassy officials.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Mexican citizenship.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field. | (It is essential to have a professional degree).
- Advanced English (FSI 3/3) and fluent Spanish (FSI 4/4).
- 2 years of experience in purchasing or acquisitions.
- Knowledge of the Mexican importation process
- Ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to pass a U.S. Embassy security background check.
- Availability to take an English proficiency test.
- Availability to attend a face-to-face interview if you live in Mexico City.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of procurement documents, such as purchase requests, market research, and cost estimates.
- Research and select potential suppliers, obtaining estimated prices.
- Coordinate the logistics of goods/services delivery and ensure proper tracking of donation documents.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and provide administrative support to the team.
- Communicate delivery schedules and resolve any issues related to the procurement process.
