ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE

Our Procurement function is critical to our success as we look to collaborate with future focused partners to generate sustainable value for VGA. Reporting to VGA’s Head of Group Procurement, the Procurement Business Partner will act as a trusted strategic advisor to internal stakeholders at a Group level across the entire portfolio of Volkswagen brands. This role will lead, develop and execute sourcing strategies and initiatives in line with the Procurement vision to achieve company goals.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and deliver strategic sourcing projects for assigned categories and sub-categories
  • Effectively partner with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver value and benefits to VGA
  • Lead complex commercial negotiations and contract management
  • Supplier relationship management and monitoring contracted SLAs and KPIs
  • Conduct analysis of spend and supply markets to identify new opportunities
  • Collaborate with Global and Regional Procurement teams to drive efficiencies and synergies
  • Ensure compliance with the Procurement policies and procedures, code of conduct, ethical practices and adhere to all relevant laws and regulations

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following:

  • Extensive experience in Strategic Procurement or indirect procurement
  • Strong experience in strategic sourcing, category management and contract management
  • Experience in managing multiple indirect procurement categories
  • Evidence of successfully managing complex tenders and negotiations
  • Well-developed skills in communicating complex themes effectively to diverse audiences
  • Confidence in influencing without authority
  • A natural tendency for looking outside the box for solutions
  • Ability to adopt a pragmatic approach to drive efficiency and prioritise work with impact
  • Finance, Business, Commerce or law Qualification require
