Are you a procurement expert with a passion for social housing and supply chain management? We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Consultant to join a well-established social housing main contractor for an initial 6-month contract.
Position: Procurement Consultant
Duration: 6-Month Contract
Location: National (Flexible)
Daily Rate: Competitive (Dependent on experience)

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience in procurement, with a focus on supply chain management within the social housing sector
  • Strong knowledge of managing subcontractor relationships and contracts in the maintenance space.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with procurement best practices and compliance standards.
  • A problem-solving mindset with the ability to think strategically.

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

As a Procurement Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimising the supply chain, with a particular focus on maintenance subcontractors. Your expertise will ensure the contractor continues to provide high-quality, cost-effective solutions for social housing projects. You will work closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders to streamline procurement processes, strengthen relationships, and ensure robust contract management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the management and optimisation of the supply chain, focusing on maintenance subcontractors.
  • Review and assess existing procurement processes, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Work with suppliers and subcontractors to develop and maintain strong relationships.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring best value for money.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure procurement strategies align with project needs and company objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Provide recommendations on cost-saving measures without compromising quality or service.
