Are you a procurement expert with a passion for social housing and supply chain management? We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Consultant to join a well-established social housing main contractor for an initial 6-month contract.
Position: Procurement Consultant
Duration: 6-Month Contract
Location: National (Flexible)
Daily Rate: Competitive (Dependent on experience)
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience in procurement, with a focus on supply chain management within the social housing sector
- Strong knowledge of managing subcontractor relationships and contracts in the maintenance space.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with procurement best practices and compliance standards.
- A problem-solving mindset with the ability to think strategically.
Responsibilities:
ROLE OVERVIEW:
As a Procurement Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimising the supply chain, with a particular focus on maintenance subcontractors. Your expertise will ensure the contractor continues to provide high-quality, cost-effective solutions for social housing projects. You will work closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders to streamline procurement processes, strengthen relationships, and ensure robust contract management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the management and optimisation of the supply chain, focusing on maintenance subcontractors.
- Review and assess existing procurement processes, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
- Work with suppliers and subcontractors to develop and maintain strong relationships.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring best value for money.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure procurement strategies align with project needs and company objectives.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Provide recommendations on cost-saving measures without compromising quality or service.
