Description:

Are you interested in a new and challenging opportunity? We are looking for a Procurement Engineer to be responsible for not only establishing the technical and quality assurance requirements to procure a product or service, but the processes which define the role of Procurement Engineering. Do you have experience maintaining nuclear and conventional safety to ensure preservation of the design basis for the procurement of materials, systems, components, and services? Are you knowledgeable in providing oversight of assessments of components and services to ensure that the technical and quality requirements are aligned with the appropriate design basis documents, preparation/revision of design standards, technical specifications, procedural and program documents? Responsibilities:

  • Mentoring staff, both EIT Procurement Engineers and other technical staff, in Quality Assurance.
  • Mentoring staff, both EIT Procurement Engineers and other technical staff, in the selection of Quality program selection to ensure the correct quality program is selected, anticipating changes to scope which may affect quality program required in order to complete the work.
  • Mentoring staff, both EIT Procurement Engineers, and other technical staff, in Contractor management when establishing contracts for both contingent workers and managed task type contracts.
  • Providing advice on design, production, and methodology, especially in procurement engineering processes.
  • Providing advice in the assessment of both technical requirements and quality assurance requirements for complex procurements of items or services.
  • Providing advice in both short- and long-term planning for the further development of the area of Procurement Engineering.
  • Filling in leading weekly Procurement Engineering meetings to oversee day-to-day activities in the area of Procurement Engineering when Senior Procurement Engineers are not available.
  • Leading weekly meetings with Procurement to address vender issues.
  • Providing awareness sessions to various Engineering groups on site to lead change in the areas of procurement and quality assurance as it relates to Engineering.
  • Maintaining and promotes relationships between CNL and external organizations/suppliers providing Engineering services to CNL.
  • Maintaining relationships between Engineering and other organizations within CNL such as Procurement, Inventory Control, Science and Technology, and Operations
  • Participating in Master Services Agreements with various Engineering services providers.
