Description:
An exceptional opportunity for an experienced and versatile procurement engineer to join our team in Melbourne and work on large scale infrastructure projects. The Procurement Engineer will assist the Procurement & Hardware Delivery Manager in providing efficient and costeffective supply, storage and distribution of the electronic devices and other hardware equipment stored and installed in a test facility to be configured, tested and integrated for the further installation in the tunnel.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Procurement & Hardware Delivery Manager in the development and execution of the Procurement Plan for the project.
- Manage procurement documentation (purchase orders, delivery dockets, production/batch records, store products preservation requirements, etc).
- Liaise with other subcontractors to procure and receive goods for the project.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
- Liaise with the project design teams to arrange procurement of assets.
- Maintaining the register of purchased equipment.
REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in similar roles, ideally within construction or engineering related projects.
- Essential Competencies (knowledge, skills and attributes).
- General understanding and application of procurement principles, concepts, practices and standards.
- Ability to understand and negotiate supplier contracts.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
