Procurement - Executive/Senior Executive/Assistant Manager (Inventory Planning)

JOB DESCRIPTION

The successful candidate will be part of the Procurement team and will be responsible for managing the planning of inventories in our warehouse, ensuring optimization of inventory level, working capital, and material availability to support smooth operations.

REQUIREMENTS

• A bachelor’s degree in logistics and/or supply chain management.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in inventory planning and/or logistics.
• Good understanding of industry best practices relating to inventory planning processes and procedures, supply chain, risk management.
• Some working knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
• Able to work independently, multi-task, and respond quickly to challenges in a fast-paced environment.
• Adaptable to changes and a problem solver.
• Good inter-personal skills and communication skills.
• Meticulous, analytical and strong in numerics.

• Lead a team of Planning Associates to plan the desired level of inventory to ensure availability of goods to support operations.
• Liaise with various business units across the organization and within Procurement to fine tune the parameters for inventory planning optimization.
• Review inventory planning strategy, tools and processes to ensure optimised inventory levels.
• Reporting of inventory planning activities and liquidated damages.
• Identify opportunities based on industry best practices to improve effectiveness of inventory planning process.
• Support strategic transformational initiatives to improve inventory planning.
• Drive digital initiatives and business process redesign projects relating to inventory planning.
• Complete any other duties as assigned to meet team objectives.
