Team Overview:
As a Procurement Intern you will be able to directly impact the successful development of the solutions and services which support our daily operations and growth strategy. You will research, evaluate, negotiate and buy products and services ensuring the best conditions are obtained. You will support several projects and lines of spend within several spend categories from MKT, CX, etc.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the purchase of commodities and services to meet specialized or complex needs.
  • Supporting purchase decisions in accordance with company procedures and regulations.
  • Investigating and cultivating new sources for supplies and products.
  • Researching and preparing bid specifications.
  • Issuing bid requests to several potential vendors and suppliers.
  • Reviewing quotes and secure the most competitive bids.
  • Making analysis to identify and select vendors and suppliers using criteria such as quantity and quality of commodities, price and delivery date.
  • Explaining and clarifying purchasing procedures to internal departments as well as vendors.
  • Solving problems with orders in an efficient and timely manner.

Role Qualifications:

  • Active bachelor’s degree student enrolled in Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Finance, Marketing or related field.
  • Graduation date scheduled to December 2025 or later.
  • Command of good communication in both English and Spanish.
  • Analytical skills, which will help you work with multiple projects and stakeholders.
  • Ability to determine the best deals and be able to evaluate the pros and cons of each, based on price, quality, speed of delivery and other factors.
  • Willingness to develop decision-making skills, which will help you summarize the information you have gathered to help DiDi make the best choices.
  • Interest in negotiating skills development, which will help you work with suppliers to create the best deals.
