POSITION SUMMARY:
The Procurement and Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of materials and supplies necessary for production. Involving managing inventory levels, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining optimal stock levels to meet production demands.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Willingness to work with raw meat products.
- Willingness to work in a cold environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks requiring lifting, carrying, and moving objects weighing 30+ lbs. safely and effectively.
- Physical fitness and stamina to sustain prolonged periods of activity, repetitive movements, and manual labor.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Team player with a positive and collaborative attitude.
- Knowledge of the protein category is an asset.

Responsibilities:
- Order raw materials for production.
- Rotate inventory when needed.
- Order packaging material, spices and additional supplies as needed for production.
- Schedule frozen production based on inventory and production requirements.
- Read, understand, and follow purchasing, transportation and storage procedures.
- Create formulas for production based on the lowest cost and materials on hand.
- Update prices in ERP systems for incoming and finished products.
- Work with receiving to ensure we receive the correct products and quantities.
- Collaborate with production personnel to ensure we are recording the correct product as it leaves the production floor.
- Additional duties as assigned.
