Are you a dynamic procurement professional with a passion for driving cost efficiencies and enhancing supplier performance? Join Merlin Entertainments, where your expertise will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional guest experiences across our attractions. We have an exciting new opportunity for a Procurement Manager - ANZ to join us, based in our office in Syndey.
You will lead strategic negotiations and renewals of supplier contracts, driving significant cost savings by leveraging the company’s scale. Your role will involve managing tender processes to ensure optimal pricing and service terms while building and maintaining robust networks across the region and all attractions to enhance supplier collaboration and performance. You will also utilise advanced procurement methodologies to achieve substantial cost reductions, improved quality, and superior service benefits, working closely with stakeholders to meet and exceed targets.
In addition, you will oversee effective contract management in collaboration with Group Legal, ensuring compliance and maximising contractual benefits. Your initiatives will focus on improving operational efficiency, consolidating suppliers, and enhancing systems to streamline processes and achieve cost efficiencies. You’ll also champion sustainability and ethical sourcing, advancing the company’s corporate responsibility goals. Leading and managing a team, you will foster a positive, collaborative, and innovative work environment, setting clear goals, providing regular feedback, and developing training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Relevant procurement experience required.
- Strong quantitative, data analysis, project management, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Independent operational capability with minimal business direction.
- Hands-on approach with a passion for securing the best deals.
- Sense of fun and commitment to thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Degree in Business or related discipline (preferred, not essential).
- Experience in leading and developing teams is desirable.
- Professional Procurement qualification (e.g., certification) is a plus.
