As part of its growth and development, CMA CGM Belgium is looking for a Procurement Manager to join its Transport&Procurement team within the ILS department.
YOUR KNOWLEDGE:
Strong analytical and negotiation skills
Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, both oral and written
Knowledge of German and French are an asset
Extensive knowledge of maritime transport (terminology, transport modes, geographical knowledge, type of containers, product knowledge)
Extensive knowledge of maritime, commercial and customs documents
A customer focused problem solver
Strong builder of relationships, good team building skills and solid presentation skills
Ability to delegate, organize and set priorities
Knowledge of the intermodal network maintained by ILS BLX is an asset

Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
You are responsible for managing the inland network by providing the most suitable suppliers to the operational teams at the best possible rate. By staying on top of the developments in the market, you are looking continuously for innovative solutions. Together with the Transport & Procurement Manager you will define the sales strategy and you will be responsible for its implementation in consultation with the Director of the Intermodal Logistics Service Center.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Find and engage reliable suppliers by analyzing the market based on the needs of the company
Evaluate and monitor existing agreements on pricing and service to ensure a constant alignment with best market practices
Maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders
Preparing and presenting reports to management/board members and actively participating in management meetings
Manage a network of providers and stay informed of supplier developments in order to propose innovative solutions
Set up and monitor KPI’s
Set up efficient negotiations (administration)
Participate in networking events
Organize meetings with the operational services to identify their needs and to monitor whether agreements are respected
Responsible for correct pricing
Follow-up on major tenders
Ensuring a good line of communication with the head office
