DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Procurement Manager to play a vital role in further developing & delivering on our procurement strategy and delivering on end to end procurement service..
We are looking for someone to lead and provide strategic direction, to the Procurement, Design & Technical and Compliance teams for the provision of Uniforms, packaging and other categories for our public & private sector customer base. You will need to drive transformation change in order to achieve our strategic objectives and deliver an agile, customer focussed procurement team that become “famous for great products”. In addition, you will need to deploy a common category management methodology across our procurement contracts. We need you to enhance & deliver category strategies which maximise customer value for money alongside a continuous improvement culture. You will also be passionate about delivering fantastic products and service from a diverse supplier base.
Responsibilities:
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
- Develop, own and deploy the Procurement Strategy across managed procurement; keeping up to date with market trends and innovation
- Develop a commercially astute and customer-focused procurement team with a can-do mindset.
- Overall ownership for contract negotiation with suppliers, ensuring we have a innovative and high performing supplier base. Management of our product development and compliance teams.
- Ensuring we’re developing first class products to meet the needs of our customers ensuring sustainability is at the heart of our product development processes
- Ownership of the procurement strategy and its results – delivering successful sourcing processes, value for money and ultimately customer satisfaction.
