As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of raw materials and other necessary supplies for our manufacturing operations. You will collaborate with various departments to understand their needs, build and maintain supplier relationships, optimize our supply chain, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Strong leadership skills are essential as you will be leading a team of procurement specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the procurement process from sourcing and negotiating contracts to delivery and payment
  • Identify and develop relationships with new suppliers
  • Lead negotiations to secure favourable terms and pricing
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement procurement strategies
  • Oversee inventory management and ensure adequate stock levels
  • Analyse market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings
  • Lead a team of procurement specialists, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • 7-10 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven track record of successfully managing raw materials purchases and supply chain operations
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Proficiency in both English and German (speaking and writing)
