NGĀ PUKENGA E RAPU NEI MĀTOU | WHAT (SKILLS) YOU WILL BRING:

You’ll be a strong communicator with a commercial mindset and ability to drive value. At all times you’ll have a focus on customer needs and be politically savvy. Your skillset and experience will include:

  • Business data and business process analysis and modelling
  • 7+ years of experience in a similar role in a Strategic Procurement function
  • Construction industry experience managing commercial and procurement aspects
  • Familiarity with SAP, Maximo functions in relation to Purchasing, Vendor and Material Master
  • Knowledge and experience of NZ39XX sets agreements, ACENZ, FIDIC and NEC agreements
  • An understanding of the products and services which we procure
  • An understanding of how KiwiRail interacts with other agencies and the Government

Responsibilities:

The purpose of the role is to provide procurement management expertise across the Plan-Source-Manage lifecycle to support the effective delivery of capital expenditure, operating expenditure, and funded programmes of work, primarily in the Infrastructure Business Unit.
Youwill be a procurement contact for the rail network investment programme (RNIP). This role will have primary accountability for the provision of commercial and procurement information, advice, support and assistance to relevant managers, and will lead the delivery of various procurements.
As a senior level business partner, you are expected to influence, challenge and provide high quality, independent, valued advice to the Programme Business Manager, Programme Director and Finance Managers as well as Project Managers.
