- Salary - The salary range for this role is £57,800 - £86,400 per annum
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Broad procurement experience, including category planning and supplier management.
- Extensive experience in buying a full range of marketing services and managing marketing agency relationships
- Extensive negotiation and contracting expertise
- Critical analysis, and influencing skills to work with and influence a broad cross-section of stakeholders
- Commercial expertise to drive and deliver business improvement opportunities across the business.
- Good understanding of procurement strategy, policy, process and systems
DESIRABLE SKILLS
- MCIPS and /or CILT qualified or working towards
- Understanding of Ethics & Sustainability and Supplier Diversity
- Professional Negotiation training such as The GAP Partnership Essential and/or Complete Skilled Negotiator

Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Procurement Manager, you will play a vital role in delivering best-in-class sourcing and supplier management activities. Your responsibilities will include planning and executing negotiation strategies for Good Not For Resale (GNFR) Procurement. Working with a broad set of stakeholders you will actively challenge how the business allocates costs, commits spend and manages third parties. As part of a highly engaged and committed team, you will strive to deliver best value through your procurement, sourcing and negotiation expertise.
This vacancy sits within our Marketing & Digital Category and will see the successful applicant working across all of our brands, including John Lewis, Waitrose and John Lewis Money. Within the role you will have the opportunity to support all aspects of Marketing & Digital procurement; including advertising, media, content creation and digital.
As a Procurement Manager you will deliver compliance to Procurement policy and through the supplier management and risk frameworks ensure that regulatory compliance and commercial risk for the Partnership is protected. Your role will involve applying business acumen and Procurement expertise to identify and execute business improvements. You’ll be tasked with providing in-depth analysis to support decision-making and be able to demonstrate an understanding of internal and external trends.
Effective stakeholder management is essential in this role. You will engage with Partners across the Customer Directorate for both the John Lewis & Waitrose brands including Senior Leaders. You will also work externally, actively engaging and managing third party suppliers.
