Description:

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in civil engineering, construction, renewables, oil and gas, offshore, ports, or mining sectors.
  • Fluent proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Confidently able to use SAP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office systems.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK and overseas as needed.
  • Completed post-secondary education.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and monitor performance.

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:

  • Procurement Manager for Heavylift and Transport Projects
  • Salary £43,300 - £55,000 depending on experience with excellent benefits package
  • Working at the Mammoet office in Thornaby, Teesside with some travel required both in the UK and overseas
    Mammoet UK is on the hunt for a dynamic Procurement Manager!
    In this role, you will spearhead regional purchasing and craft sourcing strategies that align with our global procurement manual, maximizing our buying power for savings and value. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, this is a standalone, full-time, permanent position based at the Mammoet UK office in Thornaby.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Develop, manage, and ensure realization of the regional procurement and sourcing plan in accordance with the Global Procurement Manager.
  • Negotiate with suppliers, acquire approval, prepare (proposals for) and close contracts in order to fulfill the business requirements.
  • Ensure overall quality of supply of third-party goods and services through the selection of suppliers, contract management, and monitoring of supplier performance to support the internal customer.
  • Report periodically on procurement performance across the region and relevant countries, businesses, and projects for the designated scope.
  • Manage, coordinate, and improve administrative activities and systems in line with internal requirements.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives and support business growth.
