Description:

EDUCATIONAL & PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and services is highly desirable.
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that are aligned with project requirements, timelines, and budgets.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety standards.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews of suppliers and manage contracts accordingly.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements during the procurement process.
  • Resolve any contract disputes or issues with suppliers in a timely manner.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project deadlines.
  • Collaborate with project managers and site teams to forecast material needs and prevent shortages or delays.
  • Implement and manage inventory control systems to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
  • Work closely with the finance team to manage the procurement budget and track expenditures.
  • Provide regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and budget variances.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and new products or materials that could benefit the company.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations.
