Description:
EDUCATIONAL & PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the construction industry.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and services is highly desirable.
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that are aligned with project requirements, timelines, and budgets.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety standards.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct regular performance reviews of suppliers and manage contracts accordingly.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements during the procurement process.
- Resolve any contract disputes or issues with suppliers in a timely manner.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project deadlines.
- Collaborate with project managers and site teams to forecast material needs and prevent shortages or delays.
- Implement and manage inventory control systems to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
- Work closely with the finance team to manage the procurement budget and track expenditures.
- Provide regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and budget variances.
- Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and new products or materials that could benefit the company.
