As a Procurement Manager, your main task will be to manage procurement activities related to the operation and services for Northland Power’s German offshore wind farms. This includes leading the preparation and evaluation of tenders and contracts or/and the identification of potential suppliers.

  • Procurement Oversight: Manage and prioritize procurement activities for Northland Power’s German offshore wind farms, ensuring process compliance and cost-effective operations
  • Tender Management: Lead the preparation, evaluation, and administration of tenders and contracts in collaboration with the Contract Management, Operation Management, and Legal Management.
  • Contract Development: Collaborate with Contract Management and Operations Management to maintain scope and requirements, discuss pricing, timelines and deliverables on existing contracts.
  • Relationship Management: Collaborate with Contract Management and Operations Management to monitor vendors performance for incorporation in potential future business.
  • Negotiation Leadership: Develop and implement negotiation strategies to minimize potential losses and enhance financial performance, leading tendering and negotiation processes with relevant parties.
  • Supplier Development: Identify and develop new suppliers, organizing and conducting systematic supplier assessments and audits.
  • Order Management: Oversee the placement and tracking of purchase orders, monitoring order status and delivery dates to ensure timely fulfillment. Actively handover long-term contracts to the Contract Management after successful order.
  • ERP/CMMS System Participation: Contribute to the development and implementation of a new ERP/CMMS system, including Workday, to enhance procurement processes.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously improve purchasing processes to optimize the entire supply chain, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.

Who you are:

  • Educational Background: You hold a university degree in Commercial Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in contract management and/or procurement, specifically dealing with service and supply contracts for industrial equipment.
  • Analytical Skills: You excel in systematically analyzing complex problems, drawing relevant conclusions, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Standards Compliance: You are experienced in applying organizational standards when developing requests for proposals, negotiating terms, and drafting contracts.
  • Negotiation Expertise: You possess excellent negotiating and persuasive skills, capable of securing favorable terms and conditions.
  • Financial Acumen: You are proficient in utilizing and interpreting financial models and analyses to inform decision making.
  • Organizational Skills: You demonstrate strong organizational and planning abilities, ensuring efficient management of procurement activities.
  • Commercial Insight: You have a profound understanding of commercial principles and their application in procurement.
  • Communication Skills: You have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling you to convey information clearly and concisely.
  • Technical Proficiency: You are advanced in MS Office and possess a good working knowledge of common ERP/CMMS systems.
