You will have In-depth knowledge of procurement processes and the UK food industry, covering Retail buying, B2B and Manufacturing sectors.

  • Significant experience in conti-meats/anti-pasti and protein procurement, as well as other key commodities.
  • Experience working in a Retail buying position would be very advantageous (pack pricing, cost modelling, supply chain management)
  • Experience working across the UK, Ireland, and Continental Europe, with a strong understanding of regional markets and suppliers.
  • Proven ability to analyse large datasets, interpret trends, and develop effective procurement strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in communicating and collaborating with suppliers and teams from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to the needs of customers, suppliers, and business requirements.
  • Experience in leading teams and fostering collaboration across departments.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise workload effectively.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and solution-focused approach

Due to continued ambitious growth we are seeking two highly skilled and dynamic Procurement Managers to support our Outsourced procurement team. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your buying and procurement expertise in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while adding value to our existing team’s capabilities in international procurement.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide retail buying and procurement expertise to support the Outsourced team, adding value to current operations and enhancing team skills.
  • Develop and implement key commercial agreements with international outsourced suppliers to ensure quality products, cost-effectiveness and high service levels.
  • Unlock cost savings through effective negotiation and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead contract negotiations, focusing on terms such as exclusivity, contract duration, and service level agreements.
  • Analyse data on markets, trends, costs, pack prices and processes - produce reports for board level representation
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cost removal and savings initiatives across various international supply chains.
  • Conduct processing cost analysis and value chain analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Leverage the wider procurement team’s expertise within the Outsourced model to ensure maximum value and efficiency.
  • Travel frequently internationally to meet with suppliers
