Description:
OHDC is seeking to recruit a senior procurement manager and procurement officer specialized in civil construction works projects in Abu Dhabi
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
- 10 years Previous experience in construction companies in Abu Dhabi is mandatory .
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and management skills.
- Proficient in using procurement software and tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic environments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- University degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a procurement officer in construction companies in Abu Dhabi
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
- Ability to analyse problems and strategize for better solutions.
- Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Accurate and precise attention to detail.
- Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels.
- Goal-oriented, organized team player.
Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Manage supplier relationships and ensure compliance with contracts.
- Conduct market research to identify potential vendors and suppliers.
- Negotiate prices , terms and conditions with suppliers to secure the best prices.
- Oversee the procurement process from purchase request to final receipt and approval of goods.
- Coordinate with internal departments to forecast needs and specifications.
- Manage the procurement budget and prepare cost analyses and reports.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry market trends and developments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Price inquiries for tenders and projects
- Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases.
- Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers.
- Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
- Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options.
- Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies.
- Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts.
- Ensure that the products and supplies are high quality.
- Maintain and update a list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development.
- Work with team members and procurement manager to complete duties as needed.
