Description:

OHDC is seeking to recruit a senior procurement manager and procurement officer specialized in civil construction works projects in Abu Dhabi

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
  • 10 years Previous experience in construction companies in Abu Dhabi is mandatory .
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and management skills.
  • Proficient in using procurement software and tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic environments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a procurement officer in construction companies in Abu Dhabi
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
  • Ability to analyse problems and strategize for better solutions.
  • Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels.
  • Goal-oriented, organized team player.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Manage supplier relationships and ensure compliance with contracts.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential vendors and suppliers.
  • Negotiate prices , terms and conditions with suppliers to secure the best prices.
  • Oversee the procurement process from purchase request to final receipt and approval of goods.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to forecast needs and specifications.
  • Manage the procurement budget and prepare cost analyses and reports.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry market trends and developments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Price inquiries for tenders and projects
  • Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases.
  • Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers.
  • Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
  • Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options.
  • Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies.
  • Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts.
  • Ensure that the products and supplies are high quality.
  • Maintain and update a list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development.
  • Work with team members and procurement manager to complete duties as needed.
