Description:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (NOT ALL-INCLUSIVE)

You will play a pivotal role as part of the Global Operations Support Center:

  • Support procurement programmes and operational activities, (e.g. issue tenders, evaluate offers and negotiate/award contracts), following standard processes and contributing to successful procurement of non-food commodities or services.
  • Contribute to analysis of data to provide recommendations for process improvement.
  • Collate data and contribute to preparation of accurate and timely reports of procurement activities to enable informed decision making and performance optimization.
  • Support auditing of procurement activities by collating the necessary information.
  • Work in close collaboration with internal counterparts to align procurement activities with wider programmes.
  • Support training of WFP staff, for example designing and reviewing training materials.
  • Follow standard emergency preparedness practices to ensure WFP is able to quickly respond and deploy the needed resources to affected areas at the onset of the crisis.
  • Other as required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Advanced University degree in Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, Engineering, Legal or Accounting or other relevant field, or First University degree with additional years of related work experience and/or training/courses. eOA4tMJ B2u3Ku
  • Bilingual, proficiency in Arabic and English.
  • Driven and motivated by WFP’s mandate, showcasing a commitment to humanitarian goals. Strong work ethic, and genuine willingness to contribute to advancing global food security.
  • Readiness to travel to all locations across GCC and to some locations where WFP operates.
  • Minimum of 1-year post-graduate experience, ideally in a commercial, business, procurement, or supply chain position.
  • Excellent people skills, a proven team approach.
  • The ability to thrive in multicultural environments, and a curious mindset geared towards.
