Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Procurement Officer based in Dubai. The Procurement Officer will play a crucial role in managing purchase orders, analyzing specifications and Bills of Quantities (BOQs), negotiating contracts, sourcing new suppliers, and ensuring the timely delivery of orders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze specifications (specs) and BOQs, ensuring they align with client requirements and approved designs.
  • Promptly raise Requests for Information (RFIs) if any discrepancies are found between specs, BOQs, sales orders, and POs.
  • Request pricing from suppliers based on detailed specifications and approved drawings.
  • Identify and onboard new suppliers while managing and maintaining the vendor database.
  • Negotiate terms and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Issue purchase orders (POs) according to approved materials and project needs.
  • Place orders on time to meet project deadlines.
  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure orders are progressing smoothly and address any delays.
  • Arrange the collection and dispatch of material samples to/from suppliers for approval.
  • Organize the collection and delivery of items from external suppliers.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all orders within established deadlines.
  • Prepare and submit a weekly status report detailing the progress of all ongoing orders.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, and contract negotiation.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting specifications and BOQs.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and procurement best practices.
  • Proficiency in vendor relationship management and supplier follow-ups.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
