Your typical day could start with supporting the Procurement Business Partners and Managers with the development of category strategies, complex and high-value procurements. Then you might be reviewing the Groups third party spend to ensure compliance and value for money are achieved, before carrying out detailed supplier market research and engagement.
As a Procurement Officer you’ll be the ‘face of Peabody’ and no one day is the same. You’ll be at the heart of your Peabody community, playing a crucial role supporting the practical needs and wellbeing of residents and ensuring community safety. With a particular focus on ensuring Peabody remains legally compliant, you’ll actively ensure communication is clear and adherence to Peabody procurement guidelines, procedures, and policies offering guidance and support on procurement related queries.
You’re a people person who likes to get things done. You’ll enjoy working collaboratively with other teams and you’re first rate at building meaningful relationships across the business to enable you to find creative solutions to issues. You’ll need to be at the Westminster Bridge Road office 1-2 days per week and the remaining time you’ll be able to work remotely.
Your role covers many aspects of procurement – everything from presenting information to colleagues to ensuring savings and efficiencies are tracked. If you’re creative in your problem-solving, energised by supporting your customers and, like us, committed to helping people flourish, we want to hear from you.
