We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Procurement Officer with expertise in sourcing soya beans and crude oil to join our dynamic team.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Agriculture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in procurement, specifically in sourcing agricultural commodities such as soya beans and crude oil.
  • Knowledge of market trends and regulatory requirements in the FMCG sector.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to forecast and manage inventory levels effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities:

Sourcing & Procurement:

  • Identify and evaluate suppliers of soya beans and crude oil.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains.
  • Monitor market trends and commodity prices to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure the best possible terms for the company.

Inventory Management:

  • Collaborate with the production and supply chain teams to manage inventory levels of soya beans and crude oil.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of materials to prevent production delays.
  • Monitor stock levels and forecast demand to avoid shortages or overstock situations.

Quality Assurance:

  • Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that all purchased materials meet the company’s quality standards.
  • Conduct regular supplier audits and assessments to maintain high-quality procurement practices.

Cost Management:

  • Develop and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality.
  • Monitor and report on procurement expenses to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.

Compliance & Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to the procurement of agricultural and crude commodities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all procurement activities, contracts, and supplier agreements.
