The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) is made up of a team of experts who understand local communities and assess every property in Ontario. What we do provides the very foundation that municipalities use to base the property taxes needed to pay for the services we use every day.
Responsibilities:
WHAT MAKES YOU GREAT FOR THIS ROLE?
You are a proactive person who can facilitate the procurement process for goods and services to meet the diverse operational and program requirements of the different business units within MPAC.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Prepare and execute procurement activities from the contract database ensuring adherence to procurement policies, procedures and signing authority requirements
- Develop, prepare and review detailed and complex procurement documentation, and assist clients to ensure all business requirements are addressed in all stages of the process
- Make recommendations to clients on awards, check supplier references, take the lead in negotiations and develop and finalize awards and contracts
- Investigate and assist in the resolution of any disputes arising between MPAC and suppliers
- Process and maintain all procurement activities in SAP accurately and in a timely basis while maintaining a complete hardcopy/electronic filing system
- Provide consistent advice and guidance to internal and external clients on alternative solutions within the RFP process
- Build and foster partnerships with procurement partners e.g. municipal and provincial government
