Turner & Townsend’s Energy & Natural Resources team is one of the leading consultancies and is working on the largest projects across South Australia. We have an exciting role for a Procurement Officer to join our growing Energy & Natural Resources.
Job Description

We work on projects of all sizes from one-off developments to mega-programmes, from planning the future development across large Natural Resources projects to site based construction of individual projects, while helping the largest companies in the world. To be successful in this role:

  • Provide a role in a client procurement team responsible for procuring multi-million dollars of packages on a construction project.
  • Strong contract knowledge from initial set up to managing variations and claims.
  • Contract formation, contract administration, contract negotiations and claims support.
  • Interfacing with the client and other consultants at all project stages.
  • Manage quotes, purchase orders, the tender process delivery and tender analysis.
  • Support client’s organisation and senior management in improving their capacity to develop and deliver major projects and programs efficiently and effectively.
  • Under the direction of the Manager, contribute to the business success of the Organisation by assisting in the areas of submissions, fee bidding, and financial management and reporting, budgeting, and business planning.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Full working rights and be currently in Australia.
  • Previous experience in a Purchasing Officer type role
  • Professionally qualified in one of the following fields: procurement, construction, cost management, engineering or project management.
  • Commercial Management experience preferably gained within the construction environment or Natural Resources.
  • A strong and demonstrable experience in providing procurement and contract administration advice and an ability to manage and report directly into the client and their key stakeholder group at both project and programme level.
  • Experience of working within a Client focused consultancy environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills– MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with staff at all levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written English with excellent report writing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
  • Strong time management skills, quick thinking and resilience to deal with a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail
  • Team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Highly motivated and driven with a passion for delivering value and excellence to your clients.
