JOB SUMMARY:

The Procurement Operations Analyst is accountable for driving value through focusing on procurement compliance, supplier onboarding, buyer/supplier support, catalog management, user training, and process improvement This role reports to the Procurement Operations & Advancement Manager and is eligible for Remote* work. The Procurement Operations Analyst plays an integral role as the Procurement Operations team undergoes a change to a scalable operating model as we expand globally. This role will have the opportunity to help our stakeholders achieve their desired business results by enabling a seamless Procure-to-Pay (P2P) experience. The ideal candidate will develop a strong understanding of Vail Resorts system’s, functionality, and capabilities and implement best-in-class P2P processes and training solutions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years work related experience
  • Coupa experience is a must
  • Aptitude for learning processes, technologies and systems, both internal and external
  • Solid understanding of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams etc.)
  • Able to work autonomously balancing multiple projects while providing a high level of customer support
  • Ability to demonstrate learning agility and thought-leadership as business needs change and increase in complexity
  • Curious, with a passion for understanding “the why” in order to continuously improve
  • Analytical skills, time management skills, and strong interpersonal communication
  • Self-starter; ability to work independently
  • Keen eye for finding opportunities, defining a problem space, and implementing a solution
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills linking issue resolution to operational improvement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees and 3rd parties required

Responsibilities:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop a strong understanding of the Vail Resorts P2P system, Coupa, and serve as a subject matter expert for internal stakeholders
  • Assist in the definition of business processes that ensure the consistency, uniformity, and accuracy of supplier data. Developing/updating standard operating procedures (SOPs), guidelines, and training material
  • Identify key areas in which the P2P process can be improved through utilization of existing and potential new technologies.
  • Assist in the implementation of new functionality to support an improved P2P experience for both Vail Resorts employees and suppliers
  • Analyze user behavior to identify key needs for training, and improvements in system functionality to create a seamless experience. Continually seek and recommend process and system improvements aligned to strategic objectives.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing for various technology system enhancements to ensure that Coupa updates do not affect functional use.
  • Serve as a point of operational support and escalation, including providing system and process troubleshooting support
  • Provide transactional buyer/supplier support, including evaluating and approving new supplier setups, purchasing requests, conducting user training, and email/support tickets
  • Perform root cause analysis, using data insights, to drive process compliance improvements across the Source to Pay function with minimal manager direction
  • Coordinate with corporate-wide, cross-functional teams to address the need for changes to processes, policies, and procedures
