WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are seeking an experienced Procurement professional to join our team and support the Global Construction category. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, with specific experience in the construction industry. This role involves managing the procurement process, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, procurement, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years in the construction industry.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of procurement processes, construction materials, and industry regulations.
  • Software: Proficiency in procurement software and tools.

HOW CAN YOU MAKE HISTORY WITH US?

  • Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement procurement strategies for construction materials and services to meet project requirements.
  • Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and control procurement costs, seeking opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with the procurement of construction materials and services.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project needs and timelines.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present procurement reports, including spend analysis, supplier performance, and market trends.
  • People Management: Experience in managing a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities is an asset. Alternatively, a willingness to manage a team or individuals during project execution is highly valued.
