WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are seeking an experienced Procurement professional to join our team and support the Global R&D Categories. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, with specific experience in the pharmaceutical industry or R&D. This role involves managing the procurement process, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of services (Clinical trials, Scientific research).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, procurement, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years in the pharmaceutical industry, R&D or Professional Services related scope.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of procurement processes, construction materials, and industry regulations.
- Software: Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement procurement strategies for R&D to meet project requirements.
- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
- Cost Management: Monitor and control procurement costs, seeking opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with the procurement of construction materials and services.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, scientists, and other stakeholders to understand project needs and timelines.
- Reporting: Prepare and present procurement reports, including spend analysis, supplier performance, and market trends.
