ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a highly skilled procurement process expert to join a busy and growing Procurement team.
The Procurement function, while expanding in capability and maturity continues to operate legacy processes in a very manual environment. The function is going through an overhaul with the intent of improving skills, process, and systems.

This role is integral to the revamp and transformation journey of the end-to-end function and will:

  • Deliver procurement process expertise and drive the transformation journey of the Procurement team.
  • Assist the Procurement project as the Procurement SME, working with the team and business to map future requirements, best practice processes, tools and technology, then assist with planning, implementation and ongoing management.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Excellent knowledge and experience in end-to-end Procurement (Source to Contract, Procure to Pay) process and technologies.
  • Experience in planning and running workshops, collecting, and synthesizing outputs, creating process designs and functional requirements and training documents.
  • Ability to work within project timelines and scope.
  • Strong analytical capability withing a Procurement environment, the ability to resolve problems and work with ambiguity, manage competing demands and meet deadlines.
  • Liaise and negotiate with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Intermediate to Advanced computer literacy (MS Office Suite).
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving capability.
  • Organisation and people skills with the ability to set priorities, problem solve, multitask, and work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.

Responsibilities:

ROLE SPECIFIC EXPECTATIONS

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including the procurement team and business stakeholders to gather detailed requirements for process improvements - facilitating workshops, interviews, and surveys to collect necessary information.
  • Develop proposals for process improvements including detailed requirements for technology solutions.
  • Create detailed process maps and documentation to illustrate new processes and work with related functions to design and implement technology solutions that support process improvements.
  • Assist in the implementation of these improvements, ensuring changes are integrated smoothly to existing workflows providing training and support to employees on new processes and systems.
  • Work with internal teams to prepare communication materials and training programs to support change initiatives.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of current and improved processes, including workflows, procedures and policies ensuring documentation is accessible and up to date for all relevant stakeholders.
  • Be the SME for Procurement systems, tools, and processes both current and future. Provide training to new starters and business users.
