WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

We’re looking for someone who has demonstratable and evidenced experience of managing and implementing system changes. You’ll also have.

  • A degree (or equivalent qualification) or substantial proven experience in UK procurement, including an understanding of the Procurement Act 2023,
  • A sound understanding and experience in projects and change programmes.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills along with excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrable commitment to achieving high levels of internal and external customer service.
  • Experience in implementing and managing procurement solutions.
  • Strong analytic, numeric and critical reasoning skills.
  • Good quality report writing and presentation skills.
  • Competent use of MS applications to intermediate level.
  • A high level of resilience, confidence and self-belief when working to tight deadlines.
  • An appreciation of Social Value and ensuring compliance with regulations to drive targets through processes.
  • A clear understanding and focus on delivering sustainable procurement through contracts being awarded.

Responsibilities:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Procurement Team in a brand-new role as a Procurement Process Manager. Reporting into the Head of Procurement, our Procurement Process Manager will own and lead on the delivery of procurement processes within LNER and will be empowered to make process and policy changes in line with meeting strategic business objectives.
Within this role, you will have end-to-end responsibility for aligning all relevant stakeholders, in order to maintain and enhance business processes to a high quality and level of performance and also work closely with the business to incorporate new Oracle Fusion functionality into the business process. You will be involved in validating procurement process and system functionality as well as providing training to end users and go live and post go-live support.

You’ll also be involved in.

  • Deciding on operational changes to the relevant business processes.
  • Being responsible for supporting the strategic direction of the business process.
  • Developing a network of external relationships to maintain best in class knowledge levels on relevant processes.
  • Establishing a cycle of innovation, harmonisation and continuous improvement aligned to business objectives.
  • Enabling cross-functional, end to end thinking and problem solving.
  • Reviewing the Oracle update notes and drives the deployment of quarterly updates.
  • Safeguarding process quality, consistency and harmonisation over different contributing domains.
  • Being responsible for applying system functionality to drive business outcome.
  • Defining and monitoring key process performance indicators.
  • Being a member of the Business Design Authority.
  • Acting as an advisor and supporting initiatives arising from other process teams or projects.
