Description:

We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Procurement Specialist based in Fort Worth, Texas. This role involves developing and executing sourcing strategies for local, regional, and national initiatives. The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with procurement standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement sourcing strategies for local, regional, and national initiatives
  • Provide support to internal stakeholders to optimize managed services operations and sourcing strategies
  • Maintain accurate contract and supplier files to ensure compliance with company and client requirements
  • Responsible for the data integrity of contract databases and other data management tools
  • Assist in the preparation and management of budgets
  • Ensure compliance to company’s sourcing and contracting policies, procedures, risk management programs, and ethics
  • Conduct research on key suppliers, execute Request for Proposals (RFP) and Request For Quotes (RFQ), analyze results, and communicate recommendations
  • Negotiate, create, and manage contracts for goods and services
  • Establish work priorities, assign deliverables, and resolve issues with operations teams to assure client satisfaction
  • Participate in and provide leadership to supplier performance review meetings.
  • Proven experience in a procurement role
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of procurement procedures and policy
  • Proficiency in database management and data entry
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience with project management
  • Understanding of budget processes and financial planning
  • Ability to review and analyze contracts and insurance policies
  • Knowledge of human resources administration
  • Experience with facility operations and management
  • Ability to implement and progress procurement strategies
  • Proficiency in using ‘About Time’ software
  • Experience in pricing and benefit functions
  • Strong research skills
  • Experience in reporting and optimization in procurement processes.
