Responsibilities:
As Procurement Specialist , you will be responsible for:
- Developing and execute long term strategies for the assigned commodity, ensuring best performance for NPI and OTR procurement
- Integrating commodity strategies into product leadership, engineering and manufacturing objectives.
- Defining and Execute commodity strategy to support main service drivers as on time delivery and convertibility.
- Partnering and point of reference for Manufacturing and Engineering for product strategy of the assigned commodity (e.g. make/buy; BCC; etc)
- Developing negotiation strategies and lead negotiations to achieve stated goals and objectives of supply chain for Single PO as well as Strategic Partnership
- Negotiating and issue purchase orders with suppliers achieving lowest possible cost for material, balanced against optimum quality and schedule needs
- Developing Sourcing initiatives for cost out program, deflation, cycle reduction, BCC Sourcing and cash flow improvement (e.g. rebate, payment terms)
- Leveraging S&OP data to match and optimize supplier capacity with business goal
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering or Economic with some experience in procurement or commodity management
- Be fluent in English, both in writing and speaking
- Have excellent all-round communication and influencing skills
- Have analytical mindset with a proven ability to resolve problems and identify solutions
- Show positive attitude to embrace change and see challenge as opportunit
