Description:
Support the Red Hat IT Laptop Fulfillment team in quoting, ordering, and closing purchases for IT endpoint hardware and software. The Red Hat IT Experience (ITX), Endpoint Systems, team is looking for a procurement specialist to join us in Brno, Czech Republic. In this role, you will work in a globally distributed team of IT purchasing specialists. You’ll also collaborate with our finance and global support teams for our associates. As a procurement specialist, you’ll need to have excellent communication skills to interact with internal and external customers and partners while addressing associate issues in an accurate and clear, but thorough manner. This role is ideal for a candidate with a passion for technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
What you will do
- Obtain and create vendor quotes, review and create purchase orders, and follow and track orders for delivery to core offices or direct to associates
- Provide support and assistance to Red Hat associates through an established IT ticketing system
- Troubleshoot issues related to vendor orders through vendor management
- Educate internal associates about our IT-supported procurement processes and policies
- Work with finance teams to resolve order issues
- Serve as a point of contact for regional procurement-related questions
What you will bring
- Demonstrated interest in software and IT
- 2+ years of experience in purchasing, preferably in technology or software industries
- Excellent communication skills demonstrated through your work experience, including the ability to explain process concepts in simple, audience-appropriate terms
- Analytical skills demonstrated through your work experience
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage simultaneous orders under delivery deadline pressure
- Ability to work on your own with minimal supervision while maintaining a firm focus on problem-solving
- Experience working within ServiceNow is a big plus
