    Due to continued growth, we have a newly created role available for a Procurement Specialist who will be responsible for the development and implementation of the materials management and purchasing functions to ensure the profitability and continuity of operational activities through strategic vendor relationships, supply chain processes, and structured procurement processes.

Your new role:

  • Manage, refine, and execute integrated procurement management systems and processes in support of the organization’s strategic objectives
  • Ensure the continued growth in profitability by maximising current operating efficiencies, realising the benefits of innovation, business process improvements and IT system optimisation
  • Engage and communicate with business stakeholders, external stakeholders, and industry / professional peers
  • Provide procurement and materials management and vendor contracting leadership, guidance and structure to the organization
  • Manage the effective use of contractual terms & conditions to mitigate risk
  • Build and maintain an understanding of the working relationships of the inventory and warehouse systems functions, process and personnel
  • Drive the ongoing improvement of an effective purchasing structure including processes, procedures and internal controls

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Post-secondary degree relating to procurement or heavy equipment inventory / parts management and warehousing, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in inventory and /or parts management or a similar discipline
  • Extensive experience with ERP systems focused on Inventory and Procurement modules, ideally JDE
  • Working knowledge of financial transactions and impacts as related to inventory
