Plum Gas Solutions is seeking a reliable and motivated professional to join our team as a Procurement Specialist.

THE POSITION:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Procurement Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring cost-effective purchasing, maintaining relationships with suppliers, and supporting the overall supply chain strategy.

  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities.
  • Maintain inventory based on fabrication and maintenance schedule.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with suppliers.
  • Manage and review vendor time and materials in executing fabrications and maintenance schedule.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
  • Prepare and input purchase orders, requisitions, and other information into company systems to ensure accurate tracking of build and repair costs.
  • Update and maintain up to date fabrication and build schedule.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply while minimizing excess stock.
  • Negotiate contracts, credit terms, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve the best value.
  • Analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage risk associated with procurement activities, including supplier reliability and contract compliance.
  • Work closely with other departments such as Accounting and Manufacturing to understand their needs and provide procurement support.
  • Collaborate with the legal team to review contract terms and conditions.
  • Generate regular reports on fabrication/manufacturing, procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost analysis.
  • Use data to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One (1) or more years of experience in procurement or purchasing role.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing environment or role preferred.
